OUTside Monthly Hike with REI Greenville
SPECIAL HIKE ALERT!
This month we are SO excited to be joining REI Greenville for their Outdoors For All ally hike and campfire chat. This hike will take the place of our usual Saturday hike.
Date: Sunday, September 11
Place: Paris Mountain State Park, 2401 State Park Rd, Greenville, SC 29609
Time: 5 — 8 PM
Without a State Park Pass, the Park entrance fee of $6 for adults and $3.75 for seniors.
Participation is limited to 15 persons (per organization) to promote safety and due to limited parking at the trailhead.
Age range is 16+. We're asking participants to leave their fur babies at home.
Meetup time and place is 4:40p at Shelter #5/6.
We'll hike the Sassafras Trail, a 2.4mi loop trail with rolling hills, switchbacks and small creek crossings. We expect to complete the hike by 6:30p.
After the hike, an interactive campfire chat will take place at Shelter #5/6. The chat will be facilitated by Park Ranger Madison, who will discuss "Tracks & Scat," and REI Retails Sales Associate Marionette Audifferen, who will share about the importance of allyship in the outdoors.
Participants should bring at least 2L of water (and a snack if desired). REI will provide water for after the hike.
