This event, in solidarity and partnership with Black Lives Matter, will feature a host of speakers and spoken word artists to share their experiences growing up in an America that scrutinizes them for being queer, for being a person of color, for being anything that does not conform to a white-centric heteronormativity, and as a way to openly demand justice for police brutality. Read our press release for additional information and RSVP on Facebook.
Upstate Pride SC understands that COVID-19 is still very much a real threat. To that end, we’ve outlined the following guidelines for attendees:
Wear a face mask or other covering. Bring your own if possible, limited masks will be available.
Practice social distancing with at least six feet of distance, and stay with your group; if you are sick or immunocompromised, it's best you stay home and we will try to have a live feed.
Sanitize, sanitize, sanitize, and avoid touching your face.
Don't share items, and bring your own signs, food, and water.
